Outbreak won’t dampen traders’ Thaipusam spirit

Keeping safe: Tourists wearing face masks while visiting Batu Caves.

GOMBAK: Traders who will be operating at Batu Caves where more than a million people will congregate for Thaipusam are wary of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak, but say they are willing to take the risk.

Several of the more than 300 traders who will set up stalls outside the temple next week said they were keeping track of the outbreak, adding they had no choice but to ply their business during the festival.
