Indonesian charged with possessing IS materials in Penang

GEORGE TOWN: A 33-year-old Indonesian construction worker was charged at the Session Court here for possessing Islamic State (IS) materials.

Irwanzir, 30, was charged Friday (Jan 31) under Section 130JB (1)(A) of the Penal Code for possessing videos and pictures supporting IS during a raid by police in a house at Permatang Pasir in Balik Pulau on Jan 6 this year.
