Viral video supposedly showing policeman taking bribe is actually from 2016, say cops

PETALING JAYA: A video allegedly depicting police personnel taking a bribe to allow the entry of Indonesian illegal immigrants to Tawau, Sabah, which recently went viral on social media, is actually an incident that occurred in May 2016, says Comm Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani.

The Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department director said the same video had also gone viral in 2016 and an investigation had already been conducted by the Integrity and Standard Compliance Department (JIPS) to check the authenticity of the video at the time.
