KOTA KINABALU: Forest rangers carrying out anti-poaching operations caught contraband smugglers after they intercepted a vehicle in an area close to the Paitan Forest Reserve in Beluran.
Sabah Chief Conservator of Forest Datuk Mashor Jaini said that during the operations around 11.30pm on Saturday (Jan 25), the Forestry Department’s special Protect team stopped a suspicious-looking and found contraband cigarettes worth RM5,000 stacked in the back.
