MRCS on 24-hour standby during the festive season

BUKIT MERTAJAM: Members of the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) will be on 24-hour standby for a week during the Chinese New Year celebration starting on Wednesday.

Penang MRCS chairman Datuk B.J. Yeang said some 150 volunteers would work in shifts from Jan 22 to 29 to provide support to hospitals in the event of accidents or emergencies that require medical attention.
