JOHOR BARU: MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has slammed Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Latheefa Koya for exposing a series of audio recordings implicating a former prime minister.
Dr Wee said that Latheefa had contradicted herself by breaking the rule of law, which she had often claimed to be protecting.
"They (MACC) talked so much about the rule of law, why don't they follow what they preach?
"Latheefa said herself that this is based on an anonymous source but she did not lodge any report. She just exposed it instead," he said at a press conference after chairing a meeting at Johor Baru MCA division office here on Thursday (Jan 9).
Dr Wee added that he was not defending anyone but questioning the way in which MACC handled the recordings.
