PETALING JAYA: Gamuda Land is calling on photographers, both professional and amateur, to participate in its photography contest, which runs from today to April 30 this year.
The developer launched its photography contest “Through Your Lens” to capture its developments through the eyes of the public.
There will be a different theme for every month. Starting off the competition this month is community, followed by town-making, design innovation and rounding off with nature in April.
"We have spent 25 years carefully crafting numerous township developments in Malaysia and overseas, where we have created and shared countless memories and experiences with our community.
“In recent years, we have strengthened our placemaking in our newer townships, allocating bigger community spaces such as lush central parks, cascading lakes, sports, events and recreation spaces.
“We warmly welcome everyone to our developments and to share your experience with us through your photos, ” said Gamuda Land chief executive officer Ngan Chee Meng.
The photographs and captions can be submitted through Gamuda Land’s microsite, Facebook and Instagram.
The entries uploaded to the microsite will be assessed by a panel of judges comprising photographers from Star Media Group, Sin Chew Media Corp and National Geographic, as well as a certified photographer from Canon Malaysia.
Entries that have the hashtag #sincereresponsibleoriginal on Facebook and Instagram separately will stand a chance to win prizes bi-weekly for “top 10 most-liked” and “most meaningful”, as determined by the panel of judges.
A total of RM668,000 worth of prizes will be up for grabs. Each month, the best shot submitted via the microsite and the “most meaningful” social media entries will be in the running for the grand prize:
a unit at HighPark Suites, Petaling Jaya, worth RM500,000 for GL Friends (Gamuda Land customers) or RM20,000 for the public.
Gamuda Land continues to strive as an exemplary town-maker driven by its four main values: caring for people and community; being a responsible town-maker; driving innovation to create value; as well as respecting nature and the environment.
