IPOH: Perak is set to be the first state to have Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) by Nordic countries for pondok school students, says the state Islamic Religion and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk). The programme is a collaboration between MAIPk and several countries such as Finland, Sweden and Norway.
MAIPk president Tan Sri Dr Wan Zahid Mohd Nordin said this was to help those who had graduated from pondok or religious schools, including the underprivileged, to equip them with more skills.
