IPOH: The Perak branch of the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry will closely monitor prices of goods and services on Pangkor island come Jan 1 when its duty-free status starts.
Its director, Saifullizan Kamarul Zaman, said the ministry would check on errant traders taking the opportunity to raise prices drastically.
