IPOH: A woman and her husband have claimed trial to human-trafficking charges involving an Indonesian woman.
J. Jayamalar, 36, was charged under Section 13 of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling Migrants Act for trafficking the 32-year-old victim for labour by using force, while her husband V. Chandru, 35, was charged under Section 12 of the same Act for exploiting the victim for labour.
