Flood situation in Johor improves, number of evacuees drops

JOHOR BARU: The total number of flood victims in the state continued to drop from 1,229 people from 303 families at 8am Friday (Dec 20) to 852 people comprising 207 families at 4pm.

State Local Government, Urban Wellbeing and Environment Committee chairman Tan Chen Choon in a statement here said the number of temporary relief centres has also dropped from 23 to 16, with all centres in Mersing and Kota Tinggi being closed.
