It was recently reported that in a new poll of over 2,000 people, commissioned by the Institute for Cancer Research in London, only 28% of people think that major progress is being made against cancer, despite the average survival time approximately doubling in the last decade. The average patient now living for more than ten years following their diagnosis.
The reason may be because cancer has become so prevalent in our societies all over the globe. In Malaysia, cancer is the fourth biggest killer, after heart disease, accidents and stroke.
