PUTRAJAYA (Bernama): The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) say that there have been four deaths due to the northeast monsoon since Oct 24 with 12 search and rescue missions carried out by the agency so far.
MMEA director-general Maritime Admiral Datuk Mohd Zubil Mat Som said most cases involved small fishing boats being hit by strong waves that caused the boats to overturn and sink.
