GEORGE TOWN (Bernama): About 200,000 consumers in South Seberang Prai (SSP) and southern Penang island are expected to experience water supply disruption for 12 hours from 10pm on Dec 20 due to major pipe re-connection works at the Sungai Dua Water Treatment Plant (Sungai Dua WTP).

Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang (PBAPP) chief executive officer Datuk Jaseni Maidinsa (pic) said these urgent works involved the installation of a new 1200mm butterfly valve and the reconnection of a 1200mm pipeline in the Sungai Dua WTP.
