KUALA LUMPUR: The martial arts silat has been successfully inscribed under the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity category by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) this year.
The recognition was given at the 14th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Bogota, Colombia, from Dec 9 to today.
