Wong brings cheer to the elderly

PETALING JAYA: Famous Hong Kong producer-actor Raymond Wong Pak Ming created some early Christmas cheer by visiting the Lotus Care premium assisted living home here.

“I feel warm and happy celebrating an early Christmas with the elderly folk, ” Wong said during his visit to the home in PJS6 here on Tuesday.

About 16 elderly residents at Lotus Care attended at the Christmas ceremony.

Wong and Lotus founder and chief executive Datuk R. Doraisingam presented gifts to them.

Lotus Care opened in July this year.

Wong spoke about his new year’s movie All’s Well End’s Well 2020 during his visit.

He pledged to bring the actors involved like Julian Cheung, Louis Cheung and Chrissie Chau to Malaysia for promotional purposes.

“I am going to make a film called G Storm and I will come to Malaysia in the first half of the next year, ” said Wong, adding that he will consider choosing some Malaysian actors too.

Wong had worked with Lotus Five Star, the movie distribution company under the Lotus Group for for the past decade.

Lotus Care CEO Karthiik Doraisingam said that there are 23 residents at the home, aged up to 90.

“This is the first time that we had invited a celebrity to visit our centre. The elders were happy to have an early Christmas celebration with Wong, ” he added.
