ALOR SETAR: The Kamakshi Child Development Centre has become synonymous with Kulim town as it provides rehabilitation and learning programmes for differently-abled children.
Centre director Dr S. Karnan said the facility cares for children with cerebral palsy, autism, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and Down Syndrome.
The centre, he explained, serves as a referral community-based rehabilitation centre for surrounding government hospitals in Kulim and Sungai Petani in Kedah as well as Bukit Mertajam and Seberang Jaya in Penang.
