PADANG BESAR: Over two tonnes of kratom leaves being smuggled into Thailand were seized during a three-day operation carried out by the General Operations Force (GOF) here.
GOF Northern Brigade commander Senior Asst Comm Abdul Ghani Mohamad Ji said they seized 14 gunny sacks containing kratom leaves weighing 510kg worth RM76,500 from a rubber plantation near Felda Mata Air here at 1.30am on Thursday.
