JOHOR BARU: The Mexican government has expressed its appreciation and gratitude to Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar for commuting the death sentence of three of its citizens, all brothers, for drug trafficking crimes in 2018.
In a statement posted on Sultan Ibrahim's official Facebook page, the government of Mexico, under the leadership of its president, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, expressed its appreciation and gratitude to Sultan Ibrahim who lightened the sentences of the three brothers from death by hanging to life imprisonment.
