"So we must not gloat or be over confident in the coming contest.
“This is a reminder to grassroots leaders to gauge the support from the people since GE14,” party secretary-general Datuk Loretto Padua said in a statement on Monday (Dec 2).
Padua said the real victory could only be ascertained when the result is announced after polling.
He said for Warisan, they were prepared to face contenders for the parliamentary seat, previously held by its incumbent MP Datuk Seri Anifah Aman.
“With strong support from other component parties in Pakatan Harapan and Upko, I am sure we have no problems to retain the seat,” he said, adding that Warisan had never stopped working for the people.
Earlier, the Federal Court ruled that the result of Kimanis seat as "null and void".
A five-member bench, led by Chief Justice Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat, said there was no error by the election judge in the finding of facts.
Anifah quit Umno in September last year and held the seat as an independent.
