SIBU: Two women claimed their names were used improperly in the Igan PKR election in October. They gave their statements yesterday to the Sibu Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) accompanied by Sibu PKR chief Abdul Raafidin Majidi (pic).

Nurul Fitri Jamal, 31, and Nah Ragus, 60, claimed their names were registered as division members without their knowledge.

They believed someone had then used their names to vote at the Oct 6 division election.

Nurul and Nah also claimed that prior to the polls, they were offered inducements by someone to vote in favour of a certain group.

They had also lodged a police report on the matter.

Abdul Raafidin said there were five persons whose names were registered without their knowledge weeks before the election.

However, only Nurul and Nah came forward to lodge a report.

“As money had allegedly changed hands, they also want MACC to investigate the matter, ” he said.
