On high alert for missing Orang Asli boy

IPOH: Police have issued a National Urgent Response (Nur) Alert for a missing 10-year-old Orang Asli boy.

Gerik OCPD Supt Ismail Che Isa said police were looking for Rawi Samari, who went missing from his house at Kampung Agek Hulu Sungai Temenggor, Gerik.

“His aunt realised that Rawi was not sleeping next to his grandmother at around 1am on Wednesday,” he said, adding that a report was made at 3.42pm.“We have started the search and rescue mission,” he said, adding that it took the team six hours by boat and on foot to reach the area.

“Rawi was last seen wearing shorts. He is 46cm in height, has dark skin and curly hair,” he said, urging anyone with information to contact Sjn Mohd Sopian Husin at 019-922 6709 or contact the Gerik police station at 05-791 222.
