Dec 12 set as mention date for duo over alleged links to LTTE

KUALA KANGSAR: The Sessions Court here fixed Dec 12 for the mention of the cases of technician S. Arivainthan and taxi driver V. Balamurugan on charges of supporting terrorist group LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam) for the past five years.

Judge Rohaida Ishak set the date yesterday while waiting for reports from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and terrorism experts, following an application by lawyer Matthews Jude, who is representing the duo, to speed up the prosecution process.
