GEORGE TOWN: Police believe they have solved 44 cheating and criminal breach of trust (CBT) cases involving RM12.9mil following the arrest of a 38-year-old suspect in Perak recently.
Penang police chief Comm Datuk T. Narenasagaran said the suspect, who works as a financial advisor at a local bank in Butterworth, is believed to have been swindling customers since 2016 by promising them high 8.8% returns from an investment scheme.
