A TOTAL of 149 students from four Tamil schools in Sepang received RM44,700 from the state government to help pay their school bus fares, reported Malaysia Nanban.
They were from SJK (T) Taman Permata in Dengkil (36), SJK (T) Teluk Merbau in Sungai Pelek (31), SJK (T) Dengkil (43) and SJK (T) Ampar Tenang in Dengkil (39).
Dengkil assemblyman Adhif Syan Abdullah handed over the funds during an event at the Dengkil community hall.
Sepang municipal councillor Sivakumar Periyasamy, who helped organised the event, said the funds were for deserving families to ease their burden.
“Parents should ensure the money is paid to the bus operators,” he said.

After learning that their parents were against their relationship, the couple decided to take their own lives together.

They were killed instantly, leaving the train driver traumatised after witnessing the scene.
