GEORGE TOWN: MCA has challenged DAP to lodge reports to the police and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) if there was suspicion that it misappropriated funds from the government meant for Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC).
Referring to a two-minute video posted on "The Rocket" Facebook page, Penang MCA liaison committee spokesman Ooi Teik Liang (pic) said MCA has never gained any benefit from government funds to TAR UC.
"We deny ever getting political benefits from government funds provided to TAR UC.
"The accounts of the party and institution are separate.
"The video was posted before the Tanjung Piai by-election alleging MCA for misappropriating government funds meant for TAR UC to strengthen the party.
"If it is true, I challenge DAP to lodge reports to the police and MACC," said Ooi after lodging a police report at the northeast district police headquarters in Patani Road on Friday (Nov 22).
