TAWAU: The 14-year-old girl who alleged she was raped by her senior schoolmates will be given counselling, says Sabah Education Department director Mistirine Radin.

She said the department would also ensure the girl received other forms of support.

“For now, the girl is at home resting, ” said Mistirine yesterday.

The Form Two girl was found half-naked and crying in her school switch room last Friday and claimed that she was raped by two boys.

Four other suspects were said to have forced her to perform oral sex on them while another stood watch.

A teacher who found the traumatised girl at 11am immediately informed her mother, who lodged a police report at about 3.30pm the same day.

Police had detained seven students in connection with the case several hours after the report was lodged.

Tawau OCPD Asst Comm Peter Umbuas said they were investigating the case from all angles.

“The main investigation is focused on the alleged rape and sexual assault, ” he said when asked about a report on a news portal stating that a video was made of the incident for the boys’ personal porn collection.
