Pakatan cannot underestimate Opposition, says Zahid

KUALA LUMPUR: The 15,086 majority garnered by Barisan Nasional in the Tanjung Piai by-election is a “small referendum” on the Pakatan Harapan administration, said Umno president, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

“We only lost in one of the 93 voting channels, but we won in all voting districts. Besides that, Chinese voters have returned to Barisan. “Young voters from all races have returned to Barisan as well. This shows that Pakatan is rejected by Tanjung Piai voters, and it is a manifestation of an overall rejection, even though it is not a national referendum, ” Ahmad Zahid said at the Parliament lobby yesterday.
