PETALING JAYA: The congestion on the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) that happened on Tuesday (Nov 19) is believed to have been caused by a lorry that crashed into the guard rails.
Selangor Traffic Investigations and Enforcement deputy chief Deputy Supt Sahimi Husin said the lorry driver had lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the guard rails at Kilometre 8.6 of the NKVE at around 3.40pm.
"The impact of the collision also caused the lorry to block certain parts of the road which led to the traffic congestion there," he said.
The crash left the lorry with dents to its front and right side.
DSP Sahimi also said an ambulance had taken the driver to the hospital for treatment before police arrived at the scene.
