FAA downgrade will have little impact on VMY2020, bulk of tourists not from Europe, US, says Deputy Tourism Minister

KUALA LUMPUR: The recent air safety rating downgrade by the US Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) will have limited impact on tourist arrivals in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2020, says the Deputy Tourism Minister.

Muhammad Bakhtiar Wan Chik (pic) said while there would be some impact, it would be limited to airlines because most of the airlines have code-sharing agreements with US-based airlines.
