Sarawak to record details of adoptive and biological parents


KUCHING: Beginning next January, details of adoptive parents and biological parents will be included in the Second Schedule Extract from the Central Register Record of Birth Sarawak of the Adoption (Central Registry) Regulations 1960, the state assembly was told.

State Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah said the request to include the details was raised by Bukit Assek assemblyman Irene Chang during the last session of the state assembly sitting.
