KUALA LUMPUR: The Election Commission (EC) has removed a total of 348,098 voters from the electoral roll from 2017 until Aug 31 this year as they have been declared dead or lost their citizenship, the Dewan Rakyat was told.
Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Mohamed Hanipa Maidin (pic) said the EC had removed a total of 91,154 names of voters from January to Aug 31 this year, 117,826 names in 2018 and 139,118 names in 2017.
