PUTRAJAYA: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has once again displayed his caring side – not once but twice – when he ordered his driver to pull over for him to check on victims of two separate accidents here.
The Istana Negara Instagram page posted two video clips and two photographs of the King speaking to victims of both incidents.
“His Majesty also reminded motorists to be careful when it rains to avoid accidents, ” said the caption on the post.
According to the posts, the first incident happened at Cyberjaya and the second near the Putrajaya toll plaza on the Maju Expressway.
In the first video, Sultan Abdullah was seen stepping over the divider to meet the driver on the opposite side of the road.
The King again got out of his car to check on a couple that were involved in the other accident.
He was also seen taking pictures with them.
Over the past months, Sultan Abdullah has been stopping to meet and speak to accident victims, whenever his entourage came across such incidents.
On Aug 31, the King stopped his motorcade after the Anak-Anak Malaysia Walk 2019 programme in Setia Alam after he spotted an injured woman in a car accident.
On June 26, His Majesty did the same after a motorist lost control of her car in Putrajaya. — Bernama
