LABIS: Work on the double- tracking rail project between Gemas and Johor Baru has raised concerns that the old Labis town will be bypassed due to changes in the road alignment.
Johor Unity, Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman Dr S. Ramakrishnan said the road changes would cause the old Labis town to be “cut off” due to the new flyover being built along the Labis-Yong Peng road. “This can easily affect some 50,000 people, including businesses and residents.
