THE Education Ministry has allocated a total of RM48mil to hire a total of 21,656 replacement teachers this year, says Teo Nie Ching (pic).
The Deputy Minister said the sum was an increase from RM40mil set aside last year to hire replacement teachers to address the shortage in schools nationwide.
