GEORGE TOWN: The state-level Deepavali open house is expected to draw a big crowd in Butterworth this Sunday (Nov 3).
The event will run from 7pm to 10pm and will see the presence of people from all walks of life.
Penang Deputy Chief Minister II Dr P. Ramasamy (pic) said the celebration would be held at the open field at Dewan Datuk Haji Ahmad Badawi.
"The event will be attended by the Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas," he said on Friday (Nov 1).
Among the VIPs who will attend the open house are Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, state exco members and assemblymen.
Besides entertainment, guests will also be feted to a spread of Indian delicacies such as chicken curry, thosai, muruku and many more.
