Inmate complains about ‘ugly’ prison clothes


A FORMER civil servant in China’s Zhejiang province has made headlines for throwing a tantrum in prison, complaining that her prison clothes were “ugly” and that she has “no access to a hairdryer”, China Press reported.

Bao Qiongqiong, who was the chief of finance for Jiande city’s Road Transport Department, was sentenced to six years in jail for accepting bribes in the form of cash and jewellery amounting to three million yuan (RM1.77mil). She was also fined 400,000 yuan (RM236,000).
