IPOH: Pork, crocodile meat and fruits with an overall weight of 85kg illegally brought into the country were seized at the Sultan Azlan Shah Airport this month.
Despite a ban issued by Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services (Maqis), passengers still tried to smuggle 50kg of pork-based products such as fresh meat, marinated meat and sausages; 5kg of crocodile meat and 30kg of fruit products worth RM2,000, said Perak Maqis director Zamri Hashim.
