SIBU: More than 100 hawkers in Kanowit will seek compensation from the Kanowit District Council (KDC) after they won a civil suit against the council.
The Sibu High Court had, on Monday (Oct 28), quashed a decision by KDC in April 2019 to terminate the trading licences of the hawkers at the council's multi-purpose market.
