Boat capsizes, one Filipino rescued, one drowns, seven go missing

LAHAD DATU: A Filipino man was rescued by local fishermen while a woman drowned, and some seven others went missing after their boat capsized in waters off Merabung in Sabah’s east coast Lahad Datu late on Thursday (Oct 24).

Sabah Marine Police commander Asst Comm Mohamad Pajeri said on Friday (Oct 25) that the survivor was spotted by fishermen in Merabung waters who pulled out of the water at about 3pm on Thursday.
