Flood situation gradually improving in Pontian, Batu Pahat

JOHOR BARU: The number of flood victims in Pontian and Batu Pahat have started to go down from 435 victims to 100 families at 8am on Thursday (Oct 24) to 386 victims from 89 families as of 4pm on Thursday (Oct 23).

State local government, urban wellbeing and environment committee chairman Tan Chen Choon said one temporary relief center in Pontian had been closed down, after the flood situation there improved.
