PETALING JAYA: The government’s initiative to improve connectivity in remote areas in Malaysia, especially Sabah and Sarawak, via satellite with a RM250mil allocation to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has been met with scepticism.
Jacqueline Fong, co-founder of a Kuching-based social enterprise felt that the amount is not enough to ensure consistent connectivity throughout Sarawak.
