PETALING JAYA: A grant of RM100mil will be set aside to assist the Indian community.
The allocation will go to the Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (Mitra) and 80% of the funds will be distributed to programmes that are being implemented as opposed to being channelled to organisations.The aim is to improve socio-economic well-being, health and education, as well as to empower women and upgrade skills.
