Respa lauds decision to refer IPCMC Bill to special parliament committee


PETALING JAYA: The Retired Senior Police Officers' Association (Respa) welcomes the decision to refer the Independent Police Complaints Of Misconduct Commission (IPCMC) Bill 2019 to a Special Select Committee of Parliament, says its president Tan Sri Ismail Che Rus (pic).

He said credit must be given to the government, the Dewan Rakyat Speaker and MPs for wisely opting a way forward, ensuring that this Bill if ever it becomes law will be well respected by all stakeholders and equitable to members of the police force.
