Single father gets five years' jail, eight strokes of the rotan for armed robbery

KUALA LUMPUR: A single father was sentenced to five years' in jail and eight strokes of the rotan by a Sessions Court here for committing armed robbery at a convenience store and a pharmacy.

Sessions Court judge Mahyon Talib passed the sentence against 36-year-old Herman Abdul Rahman after he pleaded guilty to four charges.
