PETALING JAYA: Leading Chinese group Huazong hopes the coming Budget will be “painless” for the people, pro-business and fair to Sabah and Sarawak.
In a Mandarin statement, Huazong president Tan Sri Goh Tian Chuan (pic) said: “I hope the Finance Minister will increase allocations for the development of various sectors in Sabah and Sarawak, so that there will be more balanced economic development.”
The newly-elected leader of the Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia (Huazong) also hopes the government will implement the construction of the proposed high speed rail between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore to stimulate trade and business activities.
As 2020 is Malaysia Tourism Year and Malaysia-China Tourism Year, Goh wants the government to increase allocations for publicity to attract more tourists, particularly those from China with high purchasing power.
