MIRI: A group of volunteer firefighters prevented what could have been a major fire disaster in the historic Batu Niah town in northern Sarawak.
The Pasukan Bomba Sukarela of Batu Niah managed to swiftly douse the fire raging in two houses before it could spread in the dense squatter colony located along Sungai Niah on Friday night.
