KOTA KINABALU: The tie-up between wildlife rangers and police has been instrumental in solving the killing of a bull Borneo pygmy elephant in Tawau, says WWF Malaysia conservation director Dr Henry Chan.
In order to tackle the burgeoning problem of wildlife crime in Sabah which is widespread and often highly sophisticated, he said there was an urgent need to put in place a long-term mechanism with dedicated resources.
