MELAKA: Non-Muslim students in Melaka's missionary schools, especially from the Portuguese community, accept and respect the “doa” (prayer) recitals during morning assemblies, says an activist here.
Save the Portuguese Action Committee chairman Martin Theseira said non-Muslims from these schools had never complained about prayer recitals in missionary schools, as well as during outdoor events, as they have been inculcated on the importance to coexist and value other religious beliefs.
