PETALING JAYA: Arts groups have questioned the strict conditions imposed by the Kelantan government when it lifted the ban on Mak yong performances after 28 years.
The director of cultural organisation Pusaka, Eddin Khoo, said Mak yong was a female tradition rooted in the distinctive history of Kelantan and the strict conditions that came with it made it something else altogether.
